Hi! My name is Margo and I am a Men’s Image and Lifestyle Consultant with a focus on custom clothing.
My passion is the relationships I build with my clients. I have spent over 6 years working with clients in Saint Louis, Missouri to elevate their wardrobes and self-confidence by offering hundreds of fabric options for custom suits, custom sport coats, custom trousers, custom shirts, casual wear, formal wear, outerwear, shoes, and accessories. I have come to understand what it means to help them feel comfortable and confident in their own skin, and feeling their best no matter the occasion. My clients shop with me to get the fit, quality, advice, and convenience they deserve.
I have experience working with C-Level Executives, Attorneys, Financial Advisors, Doctors, and Business Owners among other professions. Each client is different, and I love the challenge of finding the fabrics that suit them best, while tackling their fit challenges and style preferences to deliver what they’ve been looking for in their clothing.
The Custom Clothing Process
Shopping for bespoke clothing with Be the Man is a different experience than traditional shopping. Our clientele is made up of busy businessmen who value familiarity, efficiency and convenience. For this reason, we have chosen not to have a store front, and instead bring high end menswear to you in your home or office in St. Louis, Missouri. This makes shopping with Be the Man a personal, private, and exclusive experience difficult to find elsewhere.
The first appointment takes approximately 60-90 minutes and starts with a consultation. We discuss the current state of your wardrobe and what you are looking for going forward in regards to the fit, quality, and selection of your clothing. We offer hundreds of options for exclusive fabrics in custom suitings, sport coats, blazers, trousers, shirts, casual wear, formal wear, outerwear, shoes, and accessories. After forming a game plan and choosing the best fabrics for you and your lifestyle, we choose the linings for the jackets, buttons, stitching and other styling features to make the garments truly and uniquely yours.
Measurements are next, which is the most crucial step. The majority of our clients shop with us because they are looking for a better fit, and at Be the Man, excellent fit it is our top priority. We take pictures and over 3 dozen measurements when creating a bespoke pattern for each client and have dialogue on what you expect your clothing to look and feel like.
The clothing takes approximately 5-8 weeks to arrive, at which time we do a fitting with you to ensure everything meets your expectations. With your measurements on file, shopping with Be the Man going forward is easy. Choosing your fabrics and styling features is all you need to do and Margo will advise you on new pieces to add or replace for your personal and professional life.
About Me
Originally from Oklahoma, I was raised on a cattle farm where I have fond memories of building fence, hauling hay, picking apples and peaches, and working cattle. I moved to St. Louis after graduating from Oklahoma State University. When I'm not working you can find me traveling with my husband, baking chocolate chip cookies, officiating football, antique shopping, doing embroidery, at a wine tasting, or on a walk with our 2 standard poodles. I also love spending time with friends and family.

Weight fluctuation is common and we regularly handle alterations to accommodate. Whether or not you should invest in custom clothes, will depend on how much weight you intend on losing. We also offer convenient tailoring of current garments.

Absolutely! Nothing makes us happier than getting to play a role in your wedding day. We have several formal wear options to choose from and can work with each member of your wedding party to get the proper fit so you can have uniformity on your wedding day.

Be the Man does not have a store front. We work directly with clients in their home or office and bring shopping to you, eliminating the shopping hassle. We find that our clients appreciate the convenience and exclusive private experience they get working one on one with Margo.
Our first meeting takes approximately 60-90 minutes. We pick out fabric together based on what your preferences and needs are for suits, sport coats, shirts, trousers, casual wear, formal wear, outerwear, shoes, and accessories. We then take approximately three dozen body measurements and continue with picking out linings, buttons, and thread colors.
Turn around time is typically 5-8 weeks. When your clothing arrives, we will deliver to you and do a fitting to ensure the clothing fits to your preferences and expectations.
